Amen!
However, there is something attractive about not walking down the path laid out for me. Whenever I go hiking I will purposely stray off the path and blaze my own trail (don't tell on me). There is something exciting about making my own way & still getting to the desired location. Of course, in that instance I am talking about hiking and NOT about my "eternal resting place".
In the situation of following Christ I still have tried to blaze my own trail sometimes and God points out that time after time the path I am on determines my destination NOT my intentions or desires (I stole that phrase from Andy Stanley). I praise God for His grace, patience & re-direction in my life!

"This is the tragic story of humanity today. There is a glorious city where the gates are open and the joys are endless, but the masses aren’t looking for it." AMEN.

But as a Christian, even if they are not actively looking for it, I am going to try to constantly point towards it so they can not ignore the signs.
